It’s that time of year again, the Shoe City team traveled to Las Vegas to meet up with all the brands and see what the next trends are on the scene to put in Shoe City. As always, the floor was packed with retailers from all over the world in the building to stock their stores with apparel.
We checked out all our brand partners to touch base and see what’s coming down the pipeline in their next collection. We stopped by Rocksmith to check out their spring delivery and their new merchandise coming out this summer. The Rocksmith shorts are definitely going to be on point for the heat.
Over at the Reebok booth we ran into our good friend Stash. There we received some top secret exclusive news on what he has going with the big R. Make sure you stay tuned to YCMC blog for more news.
The west coast brands were also a must to check out. Diamond Supply booth was shining as always. Next stop was the Brand that thinks 2nd sucks, which is Hall of Fame. They are definitely stepping it up when it comes to design and quality. We popped into Ethika to check some of their latest products and also talked about how working with their endorser Chino, has been a great experience for Shoe City.
Besides finding out what the hot trends are, when we come out to the trade shows we are always trying to find the next brand. We came across the new streetwear/skate brand Asphalt Yacht Club, a brand started by Stevie Willams, a pro skater from Philadelphia. They had a lot of great pieces and are definitely on to something. You will be seeing this in Shoe City sometime in the next few months.
One of the highlights of the trade show was the Reebok Barbershop. Reebok had people make appointments allowing them to get a free haircut and a pair of sneakers. That was not the only treat. The legendary Ruff Ryders Captain Swizz Beats came through and brought all his friends with him. Of course he first had to get a haircut himself. The Dj’s for the evening were Gansta Grillz, Dj Drama, and Don Cannon. The show was flooded with talented rappers as well. Rick Ross, French Montana, Dj Bobby Trends, Camron, Jim Jones, Travis Scott, Kind Ink and many more. This was definitely a legendary moment at Agenda.
